'Impression'

Photography is intrinsically linked to vision in terms of how objects appear. The way that light emits from the object and touches the eye is indexical in much the same way that light etches into the sensitive surface of film. These contact prints suggest the sense of touch that needs to happen in order to see and the camera to depict. A Lith print uses an infectious development, challenging the notion of chemically produced imagery, which is becoming increasingly sparse within photography. These multiple exposures relate to ideas of phenomenology, perception, vision, attention, beauty, touch, and tradition within photography.
